How booking works
Custom work and flash take slightly different paths. Custom starts with a consultation. Flash skips it, because the design is already drawn.
DEPOSITS
What the $250 does
A deposit holds your day. Once it is in, that day is yours and nobody else can book it.
For custom work it also covers the drawing. Every custom piece is designed for you specifically, your body, your placement, your idea. That work happens before you ever sit down, and it's rarely reusable if you don't come.
How much
$250, for everything. Single day, multi-day project, or flash. I would rather it be simple than clever.
It comes off the cost of your final session. On a multi-day project that means one deposit holds the whole series and stays in place the entire way through.
How does the deposit work on a multi-day project?
A sleeve, back or thigh piece is booked as a series of days. One $250 deposit holds the entire series, and it comes off the cost of your final session rather than your first. You pay the full rate for every day up to the last one, where the $250 comes off.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. You can't pass a deposit to a friend, and it doesn't convert to cash or credit.
Timing
Nothing is held without a deposit. When you are offered a date you have 24 hours to send it, and after that the day goes back out to whoever wants it.
How long is the wait for an appointment?
I only book three months ahead, so there is usually a wait between your request and your appointment. Chloe will let you know roughly where things sit when she replies.
For custom work, the next step is a free consultation in person or over Zoom. We choose your dates together at that point, and large projects are booked as a series of days rather than one appointment at a time.
Flash skips the consultation, because the design is already drawn. Chloe offers you dates when your turn comes up. Flash is also how last minute openings get filled, so those dates can sometimes come sooner.

Rescheduling
Life happens, and I would far rather move your appointment than have you sit through a day you're not up for.
How much notice do I need to reschedule?
I need two weeks' notice to move an appointment. That is roughly how long it takes to fill a day that opens up. Your deposit comes with you the first time you reschedule. Same $250, new date, nothing else changes. If you need to move a second time, that deposit is forfeit and a new $250 is required to rebook. By that point I have held two days for one booking.
What happens if I cancel?
If you cancel without setting a new date, your deposit is held for one year from when it was received, and then it expires. It is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person.

Things that end an appointment
These result in a cancelled appointment and a forfeit deposit.

Not showing up.

Arriving more than 30 minutes late without contacting me. A message changes everything. Tell me you're stuck in traffic and we'll figure it out.

Arriving in no state to be tattooed. Hungover, drunk, or on anything that thins your blood.

That last one isn't about judgement. Alcohol thins your blood, which means more bleeding, ink that doesn't saturate properly, and a piece that won't heal the way it should. It's a rough day for you and a worse tattoo for both of us.
YOUR DESIGN
Changes to the design
Your deposit holds the idea and placement we agreed on. Within that idea, changes are welcome; that's the process, not an exception to it.

You'll see composition sketches about a week before your appointment, and that's the moment for anything structural. Smaller tweaks on the day are absolutely fine. Placement gets sorted together before any needle touches you, and we can move the stencil as many times as it takes.
What counts as a change, and what counts as a new tattoo?
Changes within your idea are always welcome. Three peonies instead of two, leaves shifted so the piece wraps better, adjustments to balance, flow or scale. That is what the composition sketch is for.
What does not work is a different tattoo. If you booked a peony half sleeve and then decide you want a dragon on your calf, that is a new project with its own drawing time and its own deposit, not a change to the existing booking.
If your idea has genuinely shifted, tell me as early as you can. It just means starting the booking again with a new deposit.
Flash & Pre-Drawns

Flash designs are drawn as they are and tattooed as they are. Colour palettes can shift and small elements can come out to fit your placement, but the design itself stays as drawn. Sizing and placement we'll sort out together on the day.
AFTERWARDS
Touch-ups
One free touch-up per project, within a year of your tattoo.

Touch-ups run on scheduled touch-up days a few times a year, so reach out at the earliest a month after your last appointment. This will let it fully heal for when you are offered a date.

I'll always touch up a tattoo that has settled unevenly. That is part of the work and it happens to good tattoos. The exception is a tattoo that has been through something the aftercare guide specifically warns against, picked scabs, sun exposure on fresh work, no washing in the first few days. I'll still fix it, but that becomes a rework at my normal rate rather than a touch-up. The aftercare guide covers all of this, and following it is most of the job for a nice heal.

These terms apply to all booking requests submitted after September 11, 2026. Anyone booked before that date keeps the terms they agreed to.
